Through our Keynote Speeches and Interview section of this forum, we will hear from leading industry trailblazers on their personal experiences with the power of connections and how collaboration has helped them to drive gender diversity in the workplace.



Our Panel will then bring together representatives from leading associations on the issues and solutions they have been involved with in the workplaces of the industries that they support. The Panel will seek to identify the challenges faced by these associations in how they set and pursue goals, measure success, and identify opportunities to collaborate further.

    Kimberley is a global business executive with extensive background in financial services and technology. As a sales and marketing leader at the world’s oldest fintech, Reuters and Thomson Reuters, for over 20 years she has worked with customers in multiple geographies on big data and technology projects, identifying solutions to help them thrive in an increasingly disrupted world.

    Also known as the Chief Risky Woman and founder of the Risky Women network and podcast Risky Women Radio. Kimberley is passionate about inspiring and connecting women to be bold, to extend and to take risks.

    With a foundation in Governance, Risk and Compliance the network focuses on the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape but offers connections and ideas for building business and careers for women and of course men too. Kimberley’s philosophy is centred on connecting, celebrating and championing women across the globe. When you are part of the Risky Women network you open up a black book of professionals across the globe to share and grow!
    She also established a platform to drive action to stop slavery and highlight how technology and data can help address this crime. She is an angel investor and fintech advisor and a Non-Executive Director of the Fair Employment Foundation.

    David joined Manulife in February 2014 as Senior Vice President of Human Resources of Manulife’s Asia Division. Since then, he has been a member of Manulife’s Asia Division Executive Committee. David works with senior business and global HR leaders to drive talent strategies that enable achievement of Manulife’s strategic objectives in Asia.
    Currently, David holds directorships in Manulife (International) Limited, Manulife Financial Plans, Inc., The Manufacturers Life Insurance Co. (Phils.), Inc. and has also been appointed as the Chairman of Manulife (Vietnam) Limited as of 12 July 2017.
    In addition, David is a Non-Executive Member of the British Consulate-General’s Joint Management Board (JMB).
    He is also a member of Leadership Council of The Women’s Foundation Limited as a Male Allies group.
    Prior to joining Manulife, David had more than 25 years of human resources experience in global, regional and country roles, most recently with Standard Chartered Bank. He brings a broad, global perspective to the role having worked in the United Kingdom, United States, the Middle East and Asia. His subject matter expertise includes leadership and talent development, change management and organizational effectiveness.
    David has a Bachelor’s of Management Science degree from Aston University, Birmingham, U.K., a postgraduate diploma in Human Resources Management from the University of Wales, Cardiff, U.K. and is a graduate of the Strategic Human Resources Management Program from Harvard Business School in Boston.

    Vivien is a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley. She is Head of Sales for Private Wealth Management Asia for Hong Kong and China markets. She is a member of the Firm’s Asia Pacific Executive Committee and Morgan Stanley China Management Committee. She also co-chairs the Asia Pacific Diversity Council as well as the Hong Kong Women Business Alliance.

    Vivien joined Morgan Stanley in 2014 with over 30 years of experience in private banking industry. She began her private banking career with Citibank in 1983 and commenced her private wealth management career at Chase Manhattan in 1987. She moved to HSBC Private Bank in 2000 as the Deputy Head for their Premier Clients Business. In 2004, she joined Goldman Sachs as the Head of Regional Sales for Private Wealth Management, where she assumed sales and senior management roles, leading the expansion of the Pan-Asia footprint and building relationships in the ultra-high net worth client segment.

    Vivien holds an MBA from Cass Business School, City University London and a BSc (Hons) degree from the University of Manchester Institute of Sciences and Technology.

    As a Procurement Specialist, she specialises in technology procurement in APAC with experience in vendor contract negotiation and drafting, sourcing strategy and project management.

    She is a highly motivated individual who is interested in law, charity and sports. She has been a rugby player representing the Hong Kong Football Club since 2014.

    Jen Flowers is the co-chair and license holder for TEDxTinHauWomen in Hong Kong. She first started running TEDx Women events in Shanghai in 2012. After moving to Hong Kong in 2016, she decided there was not a strong TEDx platform to address women issues and triumphs. The first event was launched in 2017 at PMQ with over 500 people and 6 live speakers including a 12 year old CEO. Early 2018 was a smaller salon and in November 2018 they launched their second annual event at sky100 with over 650 people through the doors. Each event has a diverse range of speakers with strong ideas worth sharing. You can find more on our website tedxtinhauwomen.com.     Ms. Sin is the head of Commerzbank ETF Sales Trading for Asia Pacific. In this role, she is responsible for supporting and educating clients with respect to the ETF market and the entire spectrum of ETF products, assisting clients in executing trades, and driving the growth of Commerzbank’s ETF business and client base in Asia Pacific.
    Ms. Sin’s career has been spent in London, Tokyo and Hong Kong, and she has experience working as a portfolio manager, market maker and synthetic equity trader. She began her career with Deutsche Bank and also worked for Barclays Capital prior to joining Commerzbank.
    Ms. Sin earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Mathematics. She is also an executive member of Asia’ Women in Exchange Traded Funds (WETF) and the Deputy Chair of Commerzbank’s Regional Diversity Committee. She is passionate about gender diversity and equality.

She was also previously seconded to the legal department of Goldman Sachs (Asia) L.L.C.'s Investment Banking Division where she was heavily involved in equity and debt capital transactions in Asia (excluding Japan).
