It's quite surreal to think we're approaching our 2nd (or 3rd for some of us) month of social distancing and working from home. For some of us who needed the peace and quiet of not working in an office, working from home is a blessing in disguise. For others who crave human interaction and haven't had much of that for the past few weeks, working from home can be a struggle. Regardless of which side of the aisle you're on, the WiFA Emerging Talents team has developed a limited "Virtual Lunch Series" to provide you with a virtual space outside of the work environment for dialogue and networking.
The objective of the series is threefold:
- Maintain and build connections with our Emerging Talents members
- Provide a virtual space for members to meet and talk outside of work (or substituting for in person social gathering)
- Provide constructive content to members on how to navigate around the personal and professional obstacles during these unusual times

Schneider
Senior International Editor at Bloomberg
Jodi Schneider is Senior International Editor at Bloomberg News based in Hong Kong. She has been on the TOP team, curating and managing the front page of Bloomberg News, and regularly appears on television and radio on Bloomberg, discussing international politics and policy issues.
She is a founder and co-leader of the Bloomberg News Women's Voices/New Voices initiative in Asia and co-lead of the Bloomberg Women's Community in Hong Kong. She has held senior editing positions at Bloomberg, including leading coverage of the U.S. Congress and tax policy from the Washington bureau in the U.S. Before coming to Hong Kong, she was an economics editor in Japan.
Prior to joining Bloomberg, she was an editor at The Washington Post, U.S. News and World Report magazine and Congressional Quarterly, among other publications. She is a past president of what was then called the Society of American Business Editors and Writers and headed the Fourth Estate Committee for the National Press Club in Washington.
Jodi has served for the past year as president of the Foreign Correspondents' Club in Hong Kong and previously was on the Board of Governors of the FCC. She appears regularly on panels discussing gender and diversity issues, U.S. politics, press freedom and the future of journalism.
