During this WiFA Flagship annual event, our distinguished speakers will share their respective viewpoints about the 2021 outlook: in her opening statement Grace Hui from HKEX will present STAGE - the brand new sustainable exchange platform. During the panel, Johanna Chua from Citi will present the macro-economic outlook and Laura Wang from Morgan Stanley the equity market outlook, while Maaike Steinebach from Visa will provide the innovation and technology viewpoint and Ben Ridley from Credit Suisse the sustainability and green finance perspective.

    Johanna is a Managing Director, Head of Asia Pacific Economic and Market Analysis at Citigroup. Based in Hong Kong since 2000, she oversees overall economic research, FX and rates strategy across Emerging Asia Region which covers thirteen economies including China, India, Korea and ASEAN economies, among others. In 2018, she expanded her coverage to include economics research for developed Asia-Pacific region, namely Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Previously, Johanna was the Chief Asia Emerging Markets Trading Strategist (Fixed Income, Commodities and Currencies), and the Asia Sovereign Fixed Income Analyst prior to 2009
    Johanna ranked number 1 among Asia economists in the inaugural Global Fixed Income Institutional Investor (II) for 2019, and her team ranked #2 in the equity-focused Asia-Pacific II in the same year. She has also been consistent ranked highly in various fixed income surveys by The Asset magazine.
    Johanna has a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University and is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of the Philippines.

    Grace Hui is the Head of Green and Sustainable Finance at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) with responsibility for the development of HKEX’s green and sustainable finance programme. From 2013 to April 2020, Ms. Hui was the Chief Operating Officer of HKEX’s Listing Division responsible for structured products & fixed income, primary market information, listing policies, listing enforcement and accounting affairs. Prior to joining HKEX, Ms. Hui was with UBS in various roles including Chief of Staff and Global Chief Operating Officer of UBS Legal & Compliance Department. Ms. Hui is an Honorary Adviser and a member of the Inspection Committee of the Financial Reporting Council; a member of both the Regulatory Oversight Board and the Sustainability Committee of The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants; and co-chairs the Market Development Work Stream of the Green and Sustainable Finance Cross-Agencies Steering Group established by Hong Kong Monetary Authority and Securities and Futures Commission.

Ben is, inter alia, an Advisor to the Asia Impact Investing Fund I & II and a member of WWF-Hong Kong’s Conservation Advisory Committee.
