    Tracy Kahn

    HK Stories

    Tracy Kahn is an American writer and performer based in Asia. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, at the Hong Kong International Literary Festival, on RTHK radio, and at Liars' League. She appears on stage often with Hong Kong Stories, and is the curator of Literary Burlesque. She holds undergraduate degrees from the Wharton School of Business and the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a master's degree from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.

    Maitreyi Karanth an actor and producer, took up stand-up comedy as just an extension of her real life persona, at the age of 44. Being married and having lived outside India for 22 years, first in the Middle East and now in Hong Kong, she has a collected a treasure chest of funny experiences across different geographies and cultures.
    After her second open mic she was spotted by Saurabh Pant, who was then touring Hong Kong and asked to open for him. Since then she has opened for Tom Cotter, Gina Yashere, Sean Patton, Tom Rhodes, Atul Khatri, Amit Tandon, and Saurabh Pant again. She has also performed in Bangkok and Singapore as a featured comedian.
    The only female performer at Takeout Comedy Club, she is now a regular at the weekend shows.

    Ben Margalith was born and raised on the mean streets of “Suburbia, USA”. He trained at the East 15 Acting School, London and the University of California, Santa Barbara.
    Aside from performing improv, Ben runs a theatre company, does voice overs, is a local tour guide, and performs as a children’s entertainer throughout Hong Kong.

    Amelia Sewell is extremely English with a background in education, advising families on choosing UK schools. She also writes for Expat Parent and Hong Kong Living as their education editor. Amelia is relatively new to Hong Kong Stories, having told her first story in October. She is not though new to story telling and talking in general, which she has been doing, without drawing breath, for the last 34 years. Her husband has learnt to zone out.
